Yup--that's the phrase that got me started on PW.
I was playing my DS at the same time as mah buddy, Meroku. I think I had Harvest Moon and she had some Phoenix Wright game. She knows I love yaoi, so, at some point, she just blurted out, "Oh my god, he is so GAY! I mean, just LOOK at that RUFFLE!" I, curious, demanded explanation. I, gullible, was deceived into believing that Phoenix/Edgework was a canon pairing.

I knew the truth, but I bought the game anyway, and now I love it.
No, Phoenix isn't a homophobe. He's just stating the obvious.
Shading and backgrounds are for squares.
